I am Sarina Varela, a current student at the University of Texas at Austin, studying project management under the AET major.

Coming from a creative writing and live events background, I have always been in love with stories. By organizing art showcases, working in a managerial & editorial fashion, as well as being an artist myself, I familiarized myself with the importance of communication, to ensure that the work collectively created properly reflected the message we desired to share.

Throughout my portfolio, I’ve kept the ideology of collaboration at the core of all I do, and feel a deep passion for the power of interdisciplinary work present within video game and interactive media production. From working on numerous team projects, such as a grant-funded medical education app, a published multiplayer game on Steam, or even this site itself, my belief is that all projects benefits from the help of others, and fostering open communication is at the core of true innovation.
